Wings3D has changed its interface, originally based on SDL, improved towards a more modern and flexible one based on WxWidgets. Therefore, we have to adapt the code of the exporter.
This task is now 60% completed, although a few important subjects (such as the material layer) have not yet been completed.
Another important task, is to separate the code of the Background. In previous versions, it was integrated with the lighting. These are some images to see the realized progress.
Also, Wings3D forum user 'Oort' shared a PDF document to give some tips for the SSS material.
You can see the entire PDF here
Oort's web page
Thanks for posting a link to the pdf. Hopefully others will want to play with SSS.
I am looking forward to your next release.
Would you mind me using pictures of your SSS work on the front page and in a "features list" page? I'm going to give the website a bit more content :-)
Certainly. I am flattered that you want to use them on the website. I can send you the files by e-mail if you want me to. Just let me know which ones you want. If you need them in a different size I can create new images. Just let me know about that as well. I can send them tonight some time. You can use any future images as well.
I'll have a look later at which ones we'd like; thanks!
Do you happen to be a Fedora or Red Hat user? Because I packaged TheBounty for it.
After a lot of testing for find the best concept for material layers panels, finally the design is very near to my first idea.
The most big problem around this design are the code for iterate between all layers. Now, this code is ready and work properly.
Here, an small video for showing the concept.
Sorry but I only use Windows. I have played with Puppy Linux in the past but not in a long time, since the computer that I played with it on died.
Wow! It looks great.
I are created an entry for the new Wings3D exporter in download page. My intention is update this link every day or week.
Lately I'm working of a export geometry areas and volume region types.
There and test with the new volume type.
First ImGui test is OK: load xml file and launch 'Render to console'..
