Looks like. Can you shared their material params, please?
I'm rendering a new image right now with 2 threads on my office PC (I nead the other 6 for work), when It's finished I'll post it here with the settings. It'll be a 990x540 image and it'll be rendered for about 5-6 hours (on the 2 threads) which would be if I'm correct more than 1 hour on the full machine, which is a bit slow… maybe my settings are not optimized enough. Otherwise I'm really happy for your work!!! I've seen feature requests on GitHub and for me Irradiance Cache seems to be quite the most important for speed up. Is it planned? I saw you on Lux forum and you've said you would like to integrate Embree in bounty, that would be cool too.
All in all I'm really happy to test/help from the end-user point of view. (I am just an architect, I've no knowledge about coding, just rendering)
I've added a new image to the firs post. More oranges. :) The meat and the skin are two separate SSSmaterials, otherwise nothing special.
I really like the texture of the oranges, but the lighting seems so… fake. I don't really know how I'd change that though. Perhaps make the table and oranges a little less glossy? Thanks for sharing! You help us to get this project and its site a little more promoted.
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on this topic, just an interested software developer and the site admin.
Perhaps its not the reflectiveness of the fruit, but perhaps some more 'bumyness' would help? Once again: thanks for sharing, they look great already ;)
